The redevelopment of the Escondido Transit Center will improve connectivity to downtown Escondido and enhance the transit experience. The Project will include new mixed-income apartments and social gathering opportunities that are conveniently located close to local businesses and other community amenities like parks and trails.

What is transit-oriented development?

Transit-Oriented Developments (TOD) are walkable/bikeable urban communities designed to bring people, businesses, and social gathering places near high-quality public transit. Convenient access to housing, shops and services, and job centers from transit hubs incentivize alternative modes of transportation.
